My thoughts about the class assignments

I am most excited about project work, blog commenting, and exploring everyone's blogs and their creative mind. I like going through blogs because it brings me creativity and also motivates me. The extra credit assignments are a genius idea, they give you extra credits, you can catch up if you missed something and learn new things. 


The growth mindset, HEART, tech tasks, and blog commenting grabbed my attention. I am interested in human minds and how they work and I do watch Ted talks quite a bit so it was great to hear that we have many options to choose from. 

We have done extra bonus tasks in other classes for example in year 1, semester 2 during web dev with Helen. We did bonus tasks that would allow us to get extra marks towards our continues assessment. We had the option to do it or not to do it if we didn't want extra points but I think a lot of people challenged themselves and done the bonus tasks.

Projects: Vision Statement vision idea/design document     A vision idea/design document is created to present a plan that you have for your game. In this document, I will be expressing my idea of the game. I have decided that I am very interested in the game that would be called “Shooting stars”. I had game ideas like "shoot the starfish", shoot rings onto a big starfish, or shooting bubbles but I like the sound of shooting stars. The name "shooting stars" reminds me of the night, calmness, and overall peace. This game is all about relaxing your mind and destressing but also could be a challenge. Game Design Public domain license Link to image Game design seems hard yet after reading a few articles you soon realised how easy it can be to design and create a game. In my mind to create a game you have to be a genius with all of the knowledge of coding but after reading a post by Angela He" From Zero to Game Designer: how to start building video games even if you don’t have any experience"  you realise that in order to create a game all you need to have is an  idea, information about what kind of game you want it to be and the purpose, characters, some experience playing games, and some passion.   After reading the class reading task I realise you can create a game by drawing a simple line on a paper and dividing it into sections forming a challenge for the character.
