 Unity tutorial week 09 


This week I found another tutorial that is useful for my project called FPS mod.

In this tutorial I learned more about how to apply the camera to make it look like a first person shooter game and follow some of the steps or my own project. The tutorials that I was looking for on Unity were a little bit hard to find so I used Youtube most of the time to help me when I get stuck. I tried following some other Unity tutorials that might help me out like for example how to insert a package correctly when there are other scripts and deleting those scripts so my work doesnt crash with it.

Overall I am getting along okay with the tutorials and trying to find Unity tutorials that would help me or maybe teach me some new things which has worked. I might not  understand some of the harder code but I think as long as I understand what it does and how it does it I think I am fie.

Projects: Vision Statement vision idea/design document     A vision idea/design document is created to present a plan that you have for your game. In this document, I will be expressing my idea of the game. I have decided that I am very interested in the game that would be called “Shooting stars”. I had game ideas like "shoot the starfish", shoot rings onto a big starfish, or shooting bubbles but I like the sound of shooting stars. The name "shooting stars" reminds me of the night, calmness, and overall peace. This game is all about relaxing your mind and destressing but also could be a challenge. Game Design Public domain license Link to image Game design seems hard yet after reading a few articles you soon realised how easy it can be to design and create a game. In my mind to create a game you have to be a genius with all of the knowledge of coding but after reading a post by Angela He" From Zero to Game Designer: how to start building video games even if you don’t have any experience"  you realise that in order to create a game all you need to have is an  idea, information about what kind of game you want it to be and the purpose, characters, some experience playing games, and some passion.   After reading the class reading task I realise you can create a game by drawing a simple line on a paper and dividing it into sections forming a challenge for the character.
