Beta


This week I have completed the Beta. I have met my targets and successfully completed my game which I am very proud and I am OVER THE MOON!!!

I have added an invisible box that stops the balls from moving anywhere further than the box. When the ball from the cannon hits a ball that is floating then an explosion happens and the score on the screen goes up. I have added text on the screen so that players know the instruction and that they shoot with the space bar and move with the arrow keys. Once the balls hit they expire after some time and this allows you to save memory instead of wasting memory. I have learned so much over these 11 weeks and I am very proud of what I have created.

    Congratulations, your game looks fantastic and as i said to you earlier "Lucky you", you are very hardworking and it. pays well, your game looks fantastic and it is a big relief to have it all done. Great job!!!

    Wow Milena,

    This game looks amazing! Well done on getting this far with your project, you've made some amazing progress over the semester and the fact you stuck with your idea and got to where you are now is really commendable. I've been pleasantly surprised with the quality of people's games and I'm glad to know not everyone struggled as much as I did haha! I saw that you're finished with the game now too! I'll be sure to download it and give it a go, it seems like a really relaxing experience, all the best!

Projects: Vision Statement vision idea/design document     A vision idea/design document is created to present a plan that you have for your game. In this document, I will be expressing my idea of the game. I have decided that I am very interested in the game that would be called “Shooting stars”. I had game ideas like "shoot the starfish", shoot rings onto a big starfish, or shooting bubbles but I like the sound of shooting stars. The name "shooting stars" reminds me of the night, calmness, and overall peace. This game is all about relaxing your mind and destressing but also could be a challenge. Game Design Public domain license Link to image Game design seems hard yet after reading a few articles you soon realised how easy it can be to design and create a game. In my mind to create a game you have to be a genius with all of the knowledge of coding but after reading a post by Angela He" From Zero to Game Designer: how to start building video games even if you don’t have any experience"  you realise that in order to create a game all you need to have is an  idea, information about what kind of game you want it to be and the purpose, characters, some experience playing games, and some passion.   After reading the class reading task I realise you can create a game by drawing a simple line on a paper and dividing it into sections forming a challenge for the character.
