Tutorial 03

 Unity

In this weeks Unity tutorial, I learned about creating enemies and adding elements such as colliders, rigidbody and health into our scripts. I use Youtube tutorials to help me understand every element in detail. The channel is called "Isgame Channel" and it is a Russian Youtuber channel that explains the tutorials in Russian, of course. His videos help me understand the components and scripts and how everything in Unity works. 

I learn better by watching videos and someone else doing the tutorial first. The explanations and step by steps help me remember how everything works.

Overall I feel great about this weeks Unity and how everything is going so far. I am less stressed with this module this semester and I hope it stays this way. So far the time management has been good and having Thursdays to work on this module by ourselves is helping me a lot. I enjoy 2D more than 3D and I think it's because 3D, in my opinion, was a little bit harder but maybe that's because it was just my first time creating something in Unity.

Game Vision Statement

Projects: Vision Statement vision idea/design document     A vision idea/design document is created to present a plan that you have for your game. In this document, I will be expressing my idea of the game. I have decided that I am very interested in the game that would be called “Shooting stars”. I had game ideas like "shoot the starfish", shoot rings onto a big starfish, or shooting bubbles but I like the sound of shooting stars. The name "shooting stars" reminds me of the night, calmness, and overall peace. This game is all about relaxing your mind and destressing but also could be a challenge. Game Design Public domain license Link to image Game design seems hard yet after reading a few articles you soon realised how easy it can be to design and create a game. In my mind to create a game you have to be a genius with all of the knowledge of coding but after reading a post by Angela He" From Zero to Game Designer: how to start building video games even if you don’t have any experience"  you realise that in order to create a game all you need to have is an  idea, information about what kind of game you want it to be and the purpose, characters, some experience playing games, and some passion.   After reading the class reading task I realise you can create a game by drawing a simple line on a paper and dividing it into sections forming a challenge for the character.
