Reading 07

Book chapter

Throughout this week, I have began to redraft and implement some changes in my topic . It was very beneficial to have someone read my chapter so I could get feedback and see what changes I can make. Having someone critically review your work makes you see a different perspective. It helped me correct spelling and grammar mistakes and make my piece more formal. 

It was interesting to read about the other topics from my peers. Svetlana's and Lukes topics were very interesting for me and it was fun to find out new things about gaming.

Game Vision Statement

Projects: Vision Statement vision idea/design document     A vision idea/design document is created to present a plan that you have for your game. In this document, I will be expressing my idea of the game. I have decided that I am very interested in the game that would be called “Shooting stars”. I had game ideas like "shoot the starfish", shoot rings onto a big starfish, or shooting bubbles but I like the sound of shooting stars. The name "shooting stars" reminds me of the night, calmness, and overall peace. This game is all about relaxing your mind and destressing but also could be a challenge. The game genre is shooting.  The gameplay starts of with a beautiful dark night sky, some relaxing music playing in the background, and possibly some sound effects of shooting stars like some “SWOOSH” sounds or any other sounds that "shooting stars" could make. Game Design Public domain license Link to image Game design seems hard yet after reading a few articles you soon realised how easy it can be to design and create a game. In my mind to create a game you have to be a genius with all of the knowledge of coding but after reading a post by Angela He" From Zero to Game Designer: how to start building video games even if you don’t have any experience"  you realise that in order to create a game all you need to have is an  idea, information about what kind of game you want it to be and the purpose, characters, some experience playing games, and some passion.   After reading the class reading task I realise you can create a game by drawing a simple line on a paper and dividing it into sections forming a challenge for the character.
