Flying Birdie I have started creating my Unity game. So far it is going great and I am getting the hang of it. There are many great assets in the asset store and also a lot of tutorials online with full explanation on everything. I have found a bird asset in the asset store and added it to the game. I have added a background that moves so it looks like the bird is flying through a moving sky. I have found some clouds to add but I think I will be moving them. As the enemy, I have this little green guy so far but I am not the biggest fan of him so I will most likely be changing him too. The scripts are not difficult because we did many Unity tutorials on different things like movements, colliders and all sorts of other things. I have added an audio file too but for some reason, I can't make it work. Game Design Document After writing the game design document I understand more of what my game will be and what steps I need to take in order to start creating my game. My game is going to be made in Unity and the player will move with the arrow keys on the keyboard. The game is called "Endless Birdie" and it is an endless runner game. The player's mission is to get away from the birds flying towards them. I am happy for any feedback because I would like to see what people think about my ideas. Feel free to check out my document and leave me feedback. This week is our final week. I am so happy to finally finish everything. This semester has been a long but good journey and I have learned a lot. I do like 2D game design better because I think it is easier and just more understandable. I learned about referencing and how to paraphrase sentences and how to write a book, awesome right? I enjoyed writing but not the research part. I think next year we will have lots of writing up to do so it will be useful.
